Product Description
CU Medical i-PAD SP1 electrodes
The adult electrodes for the i-PAD SP1 are also applicable for children through the child button on the AED. These defibrillation electrodes can be used pre-connected. This means that they can be pre-connected to the AED. This saves valuable time during any deployment. The electrodes can be stored on the back of the AED in a designated compartment. Through the "pull" tab on the electrode pack, they are easily pulled out at the time of a deployment. The electrode package shows where to stick them.
Shelf life of the SP1 electrodes
Because of the conductive gel, which can dry out, electrodes have an expiration date. They may no longer be used after the expiration date. Make sure that you always have an unopened set of electrodes with an expiration date. The i-PAD SP1 adult electrodes have a shelf life of approximately 2 years. The expiration date can be found on a sticker attached to the back of the package.

Pediatric application:
The adult electrodes of the CU medical i-PAD SP1 AED can also be used on children by means of the child button on the AED. For any deployment on a child, it is recommended to stick one electrode on the chest and one on the back. By switching to the child mode on the AED, the energy will be reduced immediately.
Special pediatric electrodes are also available for children under 8 years old and lighter than 25kg. These are smaller in size than the adult electrodes. They can be found here: CU Medical i-PAD SP1 pediatric electrodes
