Product Description
Heartsine Samaritan PadPak battery and electrodes.
Heartsine AEDs work with a PadPak module for changing the battery and electrode set. This 2-in-1 module makes it extra easy to get the AED ready for use again after a deployment. The PadPak module is suitable for use on adult patients. This includes anyone over approximately 25 kg or over 8 years of age. The battery and electrode module are always pre-connected installed in the AED. This saves valuable time at the time of a deployment. The positioning of the electrodes is shown both on the packaging and on the AED.
Shelf life of the Heartsine electrodes
Defibrillation electrodes always have an expiration date. The shelf life of the Heartsine Samaritan electrodes is approximately four years. You can find this on the blue sticker on the PadPak module. Electrodes have a conductive gel which can dry out. Using dehydrated electrodes at the time of a deployment can have negative consequences for the patient. Therefore, always ensure that you have connected an unopened PadPak whose expiration date has not yet expired.
