Product Description
Heartsine Samaritan Pedi-Pak battery and electrodes for children
Heartsine AEDs work with a PadPak or PediPak module for changing the battery and electrode set. This 2-in-1 module makes it extra easy to get the AED ready for use again after a deployment. The Pedi-Pak module is suitable for use with children. This includes anyone weighing under approximately 25 kg or aged 1 to 8 years. When the pediatric electrodes (the PediPak) are connected to the AED, the shock level of the AED is automatically reduced.
Shelf life of the Heartsine pediatric electrodes
Defibrillation electrodes are provided with a conductive gel. This can dry out over time. For this reason, electrodes always have an expiration date. The shelf life of the Heartsine Samaritan pediatric electrodes is approximately 3.5 years. Using electrodes past their expiration date at the time of a deployment can have negative consequences for the patient. Therefore, always ensure that you have connected an unopened PediPak whose expiration date has not yet expired.
