Product Description
Defibtech Lifeline Electrodes
The Defibtech Lifeline electrode set is to be used for adults. These defibrillation electrodes can be used pre-connected. This means that they can be pre-connected to the AED. This saves valuable time at the time of a deployment. The positioning of the electrodes is indicated both on the packaging and the electrodes themselves.
Shelf life of the Defibtech Lifeline pads.
Electrodes have a conductive gel. Because this gel can dry out over time, all electrodes have an expiration date. The defibrillation electrodes may no longer be used after the expiration date. Therefore, make sure that you always have connected an unopened set of electrodes whose expiration date has not yet expired. The Lifeline adult electrodes have a shelf life of approximately two years. The expiration date can be found on the back of the electrode package. This has a sticker on it that indicates the expiration date.
Storing the electrodes and the self-test
The electrodes can be stored in the slot on the back of the AED. The cable can be inserted into a special cable cavity in the AED. The plug can only be inserted in one way. Changing or replacing the electrodes is easy to perform yourself.
When no electrodes are attached in the AED, the device gives an error message during its self-test. Also consider replacing the 9v Lithium battery on which the AED does its self-test? This needs to be replaced annually and can easily be ordered by clicking on it in the related products or by clicking here: Defibtech Lifeline lithium battery 9V for the battery unit
Does your Defibtech Lifeline AED give the error 105? This is very rare because something went wrong when measuring the electrode set. Long press (about 5 sec) on the green button to clear the error from the AED. The AED starts a self-test and will accept the new electrodes. Does the error persist? Please contact us.

Application to Children
Special children's electrodes have been developed for children under 8 years of age and lighter than 25kg. When connecting the paediatric electrodes to the AED, it immediately switches to the paediatric protocol. The shock volume is also reduced. For children, one electrode is placed on the chest and one on the back of the victim. Are you looking for pediatric electrodes? You can find them here: Defibtech Lifeline pediatric electrodes
